About Us

GSF was created by Mr. Jonas Svensson and the team as a future United Nations (UN) venture capital (VC) fund.

However, the concept did not reap its full potential under the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) as envisioned by Mr. Svensson. He decided that to ensure the availability of funding to the start-ups this GIC program creates, a new approach was necessary. Now that UNOPS is not involved with the GIC program, GSF also has the incubator operational arm that ensures deal flow.

The Global Sustainability Fund “GSF” is a private, Canada-domiciled investment partnership magnifying the impact of UN innovation initiatives by investing in companies and technologies that are identified and fostered by a network of Global Innovation Centers.
